For history & culture, Museumkaart is hit or miss.
Outstanding value for a museum lover — it does include the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh, pays for itself in ~4 visits, and works nationwide. The catch: it's pitched at residents (the cheap version needs a Dutch address), and you still must book free timed slots for popular museums, so it's not skip-the-planning.
