Is The Pnyx worth it for history buffs?

Worth itFor history

For history & culture, The Pnyx delivers.

Standing on the speaker's bema where Pericles and Demosthenes addressed the Assembly, with the Acropolis across the valley and almost nobody around, is a quietly powerful free experience for history lovers. The catch: there's very little physically to see — a carved rock platform and terracing — so without imagination or a guide it underwhelms.
