The most diverse, raw and energetic of the old-town barris — vermouth bars, the MACBA skaters, vintage shops, street art and a real working-class, immigrant-shaped pulse. It's where the city feels least sanitised. The catch: parts feel rough, petty theft and late-night sketchiness are real on certain blocks, and it's not where you'd put nervous first-timers.
