For history & culture, Deutsches Technikmuseum is hit or miss.
It's a paradise for trains-and-planes fans and the adjacent free Spectrum lets kids push, pull and pedal real experiments for hours. The catch: it's sprawling to the point of overwhelming, and adults without a machine-y streak can find it a long slog.
