For nature & scenery, Treptower Park & Soviet War Memorial is hit or miss.
The scale of the Soviet memorial — the colossal soldier-with-child statue over a sunken plaza of stone reliefs — is genuinely overwhelming and far less visited than central sights, set in a pleasant Spree-side park. The catch: it's out east in Treptow, and the memorial is a heavy, monumental experience that some find chilling rather than moving.
