Even on a tight schedule, Giardino delle Rose earns the hours.
Allow 30–45 minutes.
A peaceful, free pocket of green on the climb to Piazzale Michelangelo, full of roses (peak in May), a small Japanese garden, and Folon bronzes, with lovely views and far fewer people than the terrace above. The catch: the roses are seasonal and it's a small stop rather than a destination. A delightful, no-cost detour that most tour groups miss.
