On a budget, weigh it — Museo Stibbert isn't cheap for what it is.

Frederick Stibbert's house-museum is a wonderfully strange hoard — a hall of life-size armoured horsemen, European and Japanese armour, and period rooms — and a hit with kids and the armour-curious. The catch: it's a tram/bus ride out of the centre, opening hours are limited and partly guided, and it's firmly a niche, off-the-beaten-path choice. A memorable detour for repeat visitors and families, not a first-day priority.
