A genuine Tudor palace where Henry VIII held court — kitchens, state apartments, costumed interpreters, formal gardens and the hedge maze. Excellent and far less crushed than central sights. Catch: it's a 35-min train southwest, so it eats most of a day and the ticket is steep.
