For history & culture, Museo Reina Sofía (Guernica) delivers.
Standing in front of Guernica is genuinely arresting — its scale and the history around it land hard. Beyond that one room the collection (Dalí, Miró, Spanish modernism) is strong but uneven, and visitors who only want the Picasso can feel they paid for a whole museum to see one wall.
