An easy, rewarding day out: the towering 2,000-year-old aqueduct is genuinely breathtaking, the Disney-inspiring Alcázar sits dramatically on its crag, and roast suckling pig is the local rite. The catch is the AVE station is well outside town (a bus or taxi away), and beyond the two showpieces the centre is small.
