Is One World Observatory worth it solo?

Worth itSolo

Solo, One World Observatory works.

The Sky Pod elevators and the floor-reveal film are a slick build-up to a genuinely high, panoramic view. The reason to pick this deck over Edge, Top of the Rock or the Empire State is one specific thing: you look straight down the harbor toward the Statue of Liberty and across to New Jersey — a downtown-and-water angle none of the Midtown decks can give you. The trade-off is that it's fully glass-enclosed, so it reads polished-attraction rather than open-air thrill, and at ~$44 it competes with three rivals selling the same skyline. Worth it if you're already at the 9/11 sites below and want the harbor angle; otherwise the Midtown decks win on icons.
