The poster child of Brooklyn cool: vintage stores, third-wave coffee, breweries, vinyl, and rooftop bars with a head-on Manhattan skyline. It's gentrified and self-aware now, but the nightlife and dining are genuinely strong and the waterfront sunset is hard to beat. Not for sightseers chasing monuments.
