Is Saint-Paul-de-Vence worth it for a romantic trip?

Worth itFor couples in love

For romance, Saint-Paul-de-Vence delivers.

A beautifully preserved medieval ramparted village that became an artists' haven (Chagall is buried here), now lined with serious galleries, plus the world-class Fondation Maeght museum just outside. The catch: it's inland (no sea view), almost entirely a gallery-and-boutique experience, packed midday, and harder to reach by transit than the coastal towns.
