For history & culture, Hôtel Windsor is hit or miss.
Run by the Redolfi family for 80-odd years, this is a genuine one-off: a bamboo-and-bougainvillea jungle courtyard with a small pool, a hammam and sauna, and 30 of its 57 rooms turned over to contemporary artists — some minimalist, some frankly wacky. You book it for the eccentric, bohemian character, not for chain-hotel consistency.
