Is Place Garibaldi & Antiques Quarter worth it for photographers?

Worth itFor photos

For beauty & photography, Place Garibaldi & Antiques Quarter delivers.

A handsome, uniform square of ochre Turinese-baroque arcades named for the Niçois-born Garibaldi — the most genuinely local-feeling of central Nice's set-piece squares, and the gateway to the Quartier des Antiquaires toward the port. It earns its keep at aperitif hour: take an arcade-shaded terrace table around 6-7pm when Niçois come out for a pastis or a glass of rosé, rather than wandering through at midday expecting a 'sight'.
