Archaeological Museum of Thera is a real time commitment — fit it in only if it's a priority.
Allow 30–45 min.
Fira's 'other' archaeology museum, and the deliberate counterpoint to the must-see Museum of Prehistoric Thera up the street. Where the prehistoric museum dazzles with Akrotiri's frescoes and gold ibex, this one picks up the island's later, quieter chapters — Archaic kouroi and grave reliefs, Hellenistic and Roman sculpture and inscriptions, much of it lifted from Ancient Thera on the ridge. The honest read: it is a connoisseur's footnote, not a headliner. Go only if you have already done the prehistoric museum and want the rest of the story; most travellers will get more from an extra hour at Akrotiri itself.
