The affordable, classic group excursion: a boat over to the still-active volcano, a hot dusty walk to the crater rim, and a dip in the murky-but-warm mineral springs. The catch is it's a no-frills, crowded, tour-bus-on-water experience — the volcano hike is barren and the 'hot' springs are lukewarm and muddy. Good value and educational, but manage expectations.
