With kids, it depends on the day.
The sweet spot for many: caldera views nearly as good as Oia, the calm of a residential village, and Fira's restaurants and shops a short stroll away. There's not much of a 'sight' here — it's a place to stay and breathe rather than to tick off. Underrated.
