For beauty & photography, Shimokitazawa is hit or miss.
Narrow car-free lanes packed with thrift stores, indie cafés, record shops and tiny live-music venues — it's where you go for the cool, local, lived-in Tokyo the big districts lack. The flip side is there are no marquee sights: if you don't browse, drink coffee or thrift, there's nothing to 'see' here.
