If you're subway-hopping all day it pays for itself fast and saves the per-ride fumbling — a genuine no-brainer for dense sightseeing days. The catch: it covers only the two subway networks, not JR (so not the Yamanote loop), and it's sold to tourists at airports and select spots, not regular machines.
