Is Murano (Glass Island) worth it solo?

Worth itSolo

Solo, Murano (Glass Island) works.

A short vaporetto hop brings you to the island where glassmaking was exiled in 1291, and watching a maestro pull a glowing blob into a horse in 90 seconds is genuinely mesmerising. The catch: many 'free' furnace demos funnel you into a hard showroom sell, the island itself is quieter and less pretty than Burano, and cheap 'Murano glass' is often imported — buy only with the Vetro Artistico Murano trademark.
