In peak bloom it's the single most beautiful thing in DC — pink canopy mirrored in the water beneath the Jefferson Memorial — and lovely the rest of the year too. The honest catch: the bloom lasts roughly two weeks, the exact dates shift yearly, and at peak the crowds and traffic are genuinely overwhelming.
