Is Vasari Corridor worth it in a day?

DependsIn a day

Vasari Corridor is a real time commitment — fit it in only if it's a priority.

Allow 1 hour.

Reopened in 2024 after long closure, this kilometre-long secret skyway lets you walk the Medici's private route above the city and across the bridge — a thrill for history buffs. The catch: tickets are pricey and limited, the famous self-portrait collection has been removed, and it's now a fairly bare corridor sold on novelty and views. Worth it for the romance of the route, less for what's on the walls.
